My wife and I are huge Dave Ramsey fans, the Christian financial counselor, he helped us to get on track with our finances, get out of debt, improve the communication between me and DeAnna, stick to a written budget and so much more that we wanted to share this with all our friends.

Some of our closest friends saw the excitement we had as we worked for 15 months to pay off all our debts and they were curious about what all the excitement was about so we were more than happy to share what we were doing with them. They thought it seemed like a great plan so they began sharing it as well. They had shared with some family who also got excited about the idea of having no debt and began reading Ramsey’s book and getting on the plan. My friend’s sister had a friend visit them one afternoon and he saw the book, The Total Money Makeover, lying there and he picked it up and read all the Scripture that Dave Ramsey shares in his book. He felt that he needed to also get control of his finances and debt. This friend is a pastor who felt there were Biblical lessons that he needed to share with his church about getting out of debt and having control of your finances. He took the information back to his church, several states away and currently there are 30 couples that have started the Financial Peace University program at that church with over a million dollars of unsecured debt between them and they are working on getting out of debt and no longer being a servant to the lender (Proverbs 22:7).

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

But more important than our earthly finances is our eternal salvation. There are still over 200 million people who have yet to hear, read or see any of the God-breathed scripture that can save them.
