Yesterday I was working on scanning my journals into an electronic format in yet another effort to cut down on the amount of stuff we have. I thought it would be nice to have the availability of what I wrote over the years at my fingertips on the computer. As I was scanning these I was also reading my email and Facebook wall and one of my friends posted a link to the Listener’s Audio Bible with Max McLean – Listen to Today’s Proverb. Yesterday was the 16^th, so the Proverb for the day was Proverbs 16 and as I pressed play to listen to it I also turned the page in my journal to scan the next page and it was about Proverbs 16 and Plans. So I reviewed what God was telling me back in June of 2005 and it was awesome how God used what I wrote 4 years ago, a Facebook post and listening to his Word to encourage me as we get closer to completing the plans that we started almost one year ago when we completed our initial training with Wycliffe.

Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and your plans will succeed. (Proverbs 16:3 NIV)

My prayer 4 years ago and today is that I will continue to give my plans to the LORD and that I will allow him to determine my steps in his time and not mine.
