Yesterday Jonah came home from school and shared that one of his music teacher’s has been to Cameroon. My first thought was he must of misunderstood and she really said Cameron, MO. We live in a small town and usually when we say Cameroon, we are looked at in a confusing way and I’ve been corrected more than once by people asking if I meant to say Cameron, MO.
Jonah went on to say she asked if anyone knew the numbers three and ten in French. Jonah knew and said them. She shared that she learned those numbers in Yaoundé, Cameroon. What!?! Jonah said he spoke with her after class and she said she stayed at a place in Yaoundé and she described the CTC Annex where Jonah & Joshua attended school that also has housing on the other side of the compound.
I wrote her email last night to follow-up on this because I was in awe that someone in our town besides us has been to Cameroon. She wrote back and said she was there the summer of 2009 with Campus Crusades and she stayed at the CTC Annex. My eyes are filled with tears of joy and amazement! How incredible!
Absolutely amazing. God is so good! Not only is it so cool to know someone who has been to Cameroon, but to also know that Jonah’s music teacher is a follower of Jesus. That is encouraging.
How awesome! Who would have guessed!
God’s hand at work. Such an exciting connection.
I love how God has a way of making our great big world so small and personal! How cool!!
Amazing and cool!
